Requirements are that the barrier withstand winds of up to 70 km/hour, and wave heights of up to 3 meters. Barrier will be taken out of the water and stowed if and when wind and or wave heights are forecast above these limits.

From one to one and a half days depending on conditions.

The barrier will be outside the reef in depths greater than 3 metres. Since the barrier extends just one metre down from the waterline, there is ample room for hatchilings to get through by diving under the barrier.

Approximately $530k. It includes first year maintenance service.
